Flooded Hybrid & Electric Vehicles
Sep. 15, 2025
Dear Customers,
We want to remind you of an important safety and compliance issue regarding hybrid and electric vehicles (HEVs/EVs):
-
Do not purchase flooded hybrids or EVs.
Vehicles with water or flood history, especially with battery involvement, are considered unsafe and non-shippable. -
Shipping lines are enforcing strict regulations, and such vehicles will be rejected for export and face extreme fines.
-
Battery damage is a critical risk — fire hazards, liability issues, and refusal by carriers.
We strongly recommend you check the vehicle’s history and avoid bidding on or buying units with flood titles or any indication of water damage. This will save time, prevent delays, and protect your shipments.
Our team is also inspecting every hybrid and EV upon arrival. If we detect flood history or battery damage, we will immediately notify you and place the vehicle on hold.
Your cooperation helps ensure safe and smooth shipping for everyone.
Thank you for your attention and continued trust.

Important Payment Policy Update – IAAI
May. 29, 2025
Dear Customers,
This is a reminder regarding an important change to the IAAI payment policy:
Effective Sunday, June 1, IAA will no longer accept third-party wire transfers.
All wire transfers must be sent directly from the bank account of the registered IAA account holder.
This policy is being enforced to improve account security and reduce fraudulent activity.
Important Notice:
Due to this change, some payments may be delayed or rejected, especially during the initial transition period.
Please be prepared for possible issues and plan accordingly to avoid complications with your purchases.
We are closely monitoring the situation and will be available to assist with any adjustments needed to your payment methods.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
For any questions or support, please contact our team directly.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING NEW YORK TITLES
May. 14, 2025
Dear Customers,
Due to recent changes in New York Customs policies, we want to bring to your attention an important requirement regarding vehicles with New York titles.
Effective immediately, before purchasing any vehicle with a New York title, you must verify the lien status directly with the New York DMV.
This applies to all vehicles, regardless of whether the auction states the title is clean or mentions a lien.
To check the lien status:
-
Visit the NY DMV Title Status Check page: https://process.dmv.ny.gov/TitleStatus/Index
-
Submit the required vehicle information (VIN and other details).
-
The system will indicate whether there is a lien recorded in the New York DMV database.
Please note:
-
Even if you have a valid lien release, the New York DMV database may not be updated immediately.
-
You may need to allow up to 30 days for the lien to be removed from the DMV database.
-
If the lien remains beyond 30 days, we will need to explore alternative documentation solutions.
We strongly advise checking the lien status for every vehicle with a New York title prior to purchase,
to avoid delays or complications during export or title processing.
For further guidance, please contact our Titles and Documentation Departments.
Thank you,
V&S Brothers team
