2021 Hyundai Veloster N Base Price Rises Nearly $5000
The Veloster N is now available with a dual-clutch automatic and makes the performance package standard, which adds 25 horsepower.
- Hyundai has announced pricing for the 2021 Veloster N, which now has a dual-clutch automatic transmission option.
- The 2021 cars also now come standard with the performance package, previously a $211 option, which adds features including a limited-slip differential, a variable exhaust-valve system, and 25 more horsepower.
- They Veloster N will start at $33,245 for the manual-transmission model and $34,745 with the dual-clutch automatic.
Hyundai is adding a dual-clutch automatic transmission to the once manual-only Veloster N hot hatch for the 2021 model year. Additionally, the 275-hp Performance package, which used to be a $2100 option, is now standard, and the N's base price rises from $28,595 to $33,245 when equipped with the six-speed manual.
The now standard performance package includes an electronic limited-slip front differential, variable exhaust-valve system, 19-inch wheels, and 25 extra horsepower. We preferred this add-on in previous model years because of the rowdy exhaust sounds that the upgraded exhaust provides. The 2021 cars also come with new lightweight heated seats, which are said to be 4.4 pounds lighter, and they have a cool light-up N logo on the backrest.
The Veloster N equipped with the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission will start at $34,745. It'll be accompanied by a good-looking shift knob as well as paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Launch control will also be included, which will help the Veloster N reach Hyundai's claim of a zero-to-62-mph time of 5.6 seconds. However, since we achieved a 5.4-second sprint to 60 mph in a manual-equipped car, we should shed a few tenths of a second off that claim.
The 2o21 Hyundai Veloster N should arrive at U.S. dealerships later this year or early in 2021, starting at $33,245 with the six-speed manual and $34,745 with the dual-clutch automatic.
