2021 Infiniti QX80 Starts $2300 Higher Than Last Year

  • Infiniti has given the QX80 a light update for 2021, including adding two new trim levels and making several standard driver assistance features standard.
  • The 2021 QX80 sees its price increase by $2300, but the highest trim, the Sensory, starts $11,250 cheaper than the highest trim offered on the 2020 model.
  • The 2021 QX80 is slated to reach dealers this fall.

Despite going on a decade without a redesign, Infiniti’s QX80 has seen a steady increase in sales since the current generation debuted in 2010. And so, for 2021, Infiniti makes modest changes to what it offers in its largest SUV, including adding new trim levels and standard technology—and that comes with a price bump of $2300 for the base Luxe model. All are powered by a 400-hp 5.6-liter V-8.

The 2021 Infiniti QX80 starts at $70,445, and instead of just one trim higher than the entry level, the Luxe, there are now two, Premium Select and Sensory. The Sensory trim tops out at $81,595, which is a drop of $11,250 from the highest trim offered on the 2020 model. Every trim comes with a choice of rear- or all-wheel-drive versions, with AWD a $3100 option.

The updated Infiniti adds several driver-assistance features as standard on all trims, including blind-spot detection, adaptive cruise control, and lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist. The 2021 QX80 also comes standard with Infiniti’s Smart Rearview Mirror, which can be switched from a mirror to a monitor for a greater field of view.

The middle QX80 is the Premium Select, which comes with 22-inch dark chrome wheels, along with other dark chrome accents and black highlights on the grille, fender vents, and elsewhere. The Sensory trim comes with a semi-aniline leather interior as well as Infiniti's Hydraulic Body Motion Control, a system which uses the hydraulic suspension to limit body roll. The Sensory trim also offers a Bose sound system and 8.0-inch rear-facing screens on the back of the two front seats.
